Earl Edwards Jr.

Why did you join the executive board and what role will you play as a board member?

I joined the executive board to help lead our black players in our fight against systemic racism. I’ll be leading conversations with the MLSPA, and contributing to negotiations regarding partnerships and funding.

What does the BPC mean to you?

The BPC has empowered me and provided me with a sense of pride and fulfillment that I’ve never had before. Through our organization, we will be heard, and be able to affect change that our league, and communities, so desperately need.

What has been your experience in the league and what you hope to see change?

I would like to see a time where black players get more credit than just their physical attributes.
